Business Development Manager

We want an BDM (Digital Marketing & Creative Services) to identify, open, and close new business opportunities across the agency with a focus on selling creative and marketing campaign services.

Reporting into the Head of Growth, the Business Development Manager will be focused on net new growth. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports; the role will work alongside another sales lead as part of the Growth and Marketing team.

Responsibilities and requirements

  • Be an ambassador for the DCX brand
  • Build a pipeline of new prospects, focusing on selling creative and marketing campaign services
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Work with Marketing and Growth teams to develop outbound lead generation campaigns
  • Networking and event attendance to generate new prospects
  • Identifying and responding to published tenders
  • Managing pipeline accuracy and reporting within our Salesforce CRM
  • Own and direct new business proposals/pitches, working closely with our subject matter experts to bring together compelling, winning solutions

About you

With a focus on finding, qualifying, and converting new business, you'll be ambitious, bringing a high volume of quality leads into the business. You will have experience in sales roles working in a creative, data-driven, marketing communications environment.

The role requires someone who is highly motivated by striking up new conversations with new people, hunting for problems we can solve and opening doors in order to actively drive a significant pipeline within and across our propositions.

To be successful, you must have

  • a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • the ability to implement successful sales strategies
  • experience in managing complex sales engagements
  • strong analytical and financial management skills
