Azure DevOps Engineer (Poland)

As an Azure DevOps Engineer you will be joining our team of Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters, Developers and QA Engineers to ensure delivery of our work on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.

You will be helping to automate and streamline operations and support us with the build, deployment, monitoring and maintenance of new and existing projects.

Key duties

  • Supporting developers by creating and maintaining scalable, resilient cloud-based infrastructure using an IaC approach
  • Ensuring smooth operation of implemented systems, including preventative measures to minimise the number of unplanned down-times
  • Taking initiative, spotting opportunities, and driving positive change within systems
  • Driving CI/CD workflow standards and a DevOps culture across the wider digital team
  • Contribute to platform architecture, design, and security

What we're looking for

  • Strong knowledge of Azure
  • Experience with pipeline configuration and best practice, preferably with GitLab
  • Strong scripting skills for *nix systems (e.g. bash)
  • Docker skills
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • Proven ability to code against REST APIs
  • Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment and release strategies and monitoring solutions
  • Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills
  • A good level of proficiency in English - you will be working directly with international clients

Not strictly required, but a big plus...

  • Kubernetes skills, especially EKS
  • VM provisioning and automation, e.g. Ansible
  • Cloud migration support (not for us, for consulting with clients)
  • Azure and Azure DevOps
  • Structuring monitoring and observability on the ELK stack
  • Windows / Powershell
  • Back-end programming, especially C# or JS/TS
  • SOAP and/or GraphQL
  • Supporting scalable products for a large user base

Recruitment process - we keep it short

  • Join an interview (currently remote-only) with our tech team (max. 90min) - please bring code samples, diagrams, and documentation you have produced, and be prepared to walk us through your best solutions to DevOps challenges. There might be a PR review of a proposed DevOps solution.
